How the world survived the Pandemic

Many things were felt during the Covid-19 pandemic but most of all was fear. People started to panic. Economies crumbled and cities shut down. The world was overwhelmed and afraid. And things got worse before they got better. Uncertainty and fear were relentless. People were discouraged and needed to feel better.

So, they turned to hope, as a way to gain comfort. Hope was our beacon of light in these dark times. It was there to lift our spirits when we needed it the most. And every day filled with hope, led people closer to normal. But that was far away. And until then, people kept waiting in fear, avoiding the risk of death.
And so, people waited. They changed how they lived and found refuge in their homes. They found new loves and found to appreciate themselves and the little joys of life. They learned new skills and the importance of friends and family. They learned gratitude and stillness. Some exercised, some meditated. Some dealt with darkness and found ways to heal. Some listened, some prayed. And things eventually got better.
And people noticed that the constant noise of life merely stopped. And they started living again, even more so then before. They felt hopeful yet confident and accepting of their situation… So, people came together and found new ways of thinking. They healed themselves just as the world healed itself…
And once things got better, people accepted each other and encouraged peace. They laughed and danced and spent more money than ever. People travelled, economies boomed. Some achieved their dreams and felt proud of what they’ve become.

And so, now the world will soar again for another few centuries… until the human race inevitably collapses…like a dying star in the depths of space.
But that is far away. For now people choose distractions, instead of facing reality. Because they know the truth hurts more than ignorance. So, we find hope in the unconventional…
The pandemic is now faded in the distance, like light from a shooting star.
And people are happy again and reminded of the gentle kiss of sunlight, and the world is going around… like it has been doing for millions of years.
Profound. This was a difficult time for many.…as you apply said “there is hope”💕
Very interesting take on things. It's true people suffered but it certainly forced us to adapt and blossom as well.
